I’m Mark, a documentary film and video editor in Greater NYC.
I've edited and directed one documentary feature, H.O.P.E. Was Here, which screened and won awards at several international film festivals, including the Hoboken International Film Festival and the Mexico International Film Festival, and continues to play at universities worldwide.
My doc-style commercial videos, which include pieces for Renaissance Hotels, BU, Sabra, Ruder Finn, and the New York Rangers, in addition to my work at MSG Networks, have earned an Emmy Award and multiple Telly Awards and have allowed me to explore a range of industries, from education and healthcare to sports and entrepreneurship.
I studied film and television at BU's College of Communication, where I fell in love with the art of telling stories about real people.
It’s my passion—and privilege—to use the language of moving images and sound to help you communicate your message with clarity, integrity, and purpose.
Here’s how I can help you:
- Feature documentary films: take your pile of footage and work closely with you to turn it into a film or other long-form program.
- Short doc-style videos: turn observational footage and interviews into a polished, but authentic video for your organization.
For projects that call for animation or advanced motion graphics, I collaborate with a vetted group of talented peers.
In addition to experience, I bring to each project my dedication as a cinephile, voracious reader, and student of storytelling, all of which inform my understanding of the hard-wired human desire to find meaning in a chaotic world.
I'm here to help you make a really cool and impactful nonfiction film or video. Let's have a conversation about your next project and see where it takes us. I'm only an email away!
